Tyra Weitman

Tyra's fashion quest started out young.

Being an overweight teen in a small town with no fashion options she headed to the local fabric store with a head full of ideas and her allowance in her pocket.

She wanted to be able to show her creative side though her clothing and didn't believe that 'plus size' people wanted to live in sacks – especially if they were young.

With her little sewing machine she would sew clothing and manipulate patterns for her self, and then eventually for her friends.
The draw to sew and create, never left and when she moved to Vancouver she enrolled in the Blanche Macdonald fashion design program to help refine her skills.

Since then she has worked in various areas of the fashion and film industry, assists and manages at the local fashion house Devil May Wear and is currently working to produce a small line of clothing for women between boutique size from natural and reclaimed fabric.
